Studio Heat And Friendly Roasting
SPEAKER_02It's like a million degrees in the podcast studio, and I am feeling like Matt really should have installed an air conditioner by now.
SPEAKER_01That's true. I have no excuses. I have no.
SPEAKER_02Your hair looks really good today.
SPEAKER_01Thanks. My hair's really curling. I can't imagine the humidity in the studio toning that down at all.
SPEAKER_02I feel like you've gotten your curls back. Your bounce is back.
SPEAKER_01I got bounce back?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Bounce. But there's a song.
SPEAKER_02Bounce when she walked. Oh no, not that's not what I was thinking of. Okay.
SPEAKER_01But I mean that works.
SPEAKER_02Last night took an L buttonada bounce back.
SPEAKER_01That might be it. That might be what I was thinking of. Thank you for that.
SPEAKER_02You're welcome. I was gonna go through everything I could think of with the word bounce until it was right.
SPEAKER_01Bounce. Let me see you throw it back. That's Buster Rhymes, I believe.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't know what you're doing, but that's okay.
Spotify Comments And A New Idea
SPEAKER_02For the first time in months, I remembered that there are Spotify comments and I went through and read them all. Thank you for everybody that's been commenting because I had a ball reading everything. And something that has been a recurring request that I adore and think that we should absolutely get on. Is you all been asking for Matt to do his own episode where he just rants on whatever topic he's learning about. So for example, air sealing.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I have actually gone quite deep on what I would need to do to condition this studio the right way, a temporary solution, because again, there's an adjoining office space that I would like to install. I do think eventually it'll probably just be two separate units rather than one large unit that could cover both spaces.
SPEAKER_02Cause we'll save it for your special. Yeah, that's fine. If you all would like to see that, comment and let us know or send us a message because I think that's a phenomenal idea.
SPEAKER_01And when I pitched it to Matt, he was nervous about what it would look like to I could use somebody asking questions or like guidance.
SPEAKER_02Just knocking along, going, uh-huh. Cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. Whenever I stall out, that's interesting. You could be my voice of natural questions that I'm not like covering clearly.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't give any input. It's just questions or uh-huhs.
SPEAKER_01To be totally fair, my guess is it will be a level of in-depth that you're not gonna have a ton of input on. You're not like we've gone, we started past my depth, and we have just continued and sailed way past.
SPEAKER_03Correct.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. So I think you'll have a good level of information to ask questions valid that may help the lay listener.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
June Chaos And Policy Tangents
SPEAKER_02So we are in June. We're about halfway through June, which is the craziest month of May into June is the craziest months of the year for us. I'm learning that it might be that way for everybody, and then on top of that, we have all of the birthdays and Father's Day.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And we have a family that's just stacked up in May and June. Well, yeah. May too. We added another kid. He's in April, so he gets a and starts the ball rolling.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It's also end of school, I'm sure, in the United States, you know. I don't I don't know what people are doing in other countries.
SPEAKER_02I don't either.
SPEAKER_01They have different seasons, I guess.
SPEAKER_02They probably start in January, which would make sense and go through.
SPEAKER_01You think?
SPEAKER_02No, but that would make so much more sense, would it not?
SPEAKER_01If we started in January?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01When would we end? September?
SPEAKER_02November.
SPEAKER_01November?
SPEAKER_02You could still get a summer break. You'd get a winter break and a summer break.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you're talking more of like a year-round school situation.
SPEAKER_02Which seems like it makes so much more sense.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's my hot take.
SPEAKER_01Rather than people having to try and figure out what to do with their kids for two and a half, three solid months.
SPEAKER_02Right. If we had real, you know, paid leave and things like that. Sure, it would be fine, but we don't.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Single payer healthcare. Lots of good ideas out there.
SPEAKER_02Anyway.
SPEAKER_01I think socialism's gotten a really bad branding spin.
SPEAKER_02Socialism?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Great, like not true socialism, but like socialist policies.
SPEAKER_02Oh, for sure.
SPEAKER_01They're basically just like we want to help everybody.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01Is on the face. But then people were like, it's socialist. And they're like, oh well, can't have that.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_01That's crazy.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's like too much of anything's bad.
SPEAKER_01For sure. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02So like if you work from the end, it's like when people say that X, Y, Z is poisonous and you need to be so nervous about it. I'm trying to think of an example. I don't have one off the top.
SPEAKER_01Are you thinking like in the health perspective where people are like you shouldn't eat, you shouldn't have diet coke? Because it has aspirin.
SPEAKER_02Aspartane. That's exactly. Yeah. Like if people saying aspartame gives you cancer, it's so bad. And then you look at the actual research, and it does if you drink like 22 Diet Cokes a day.
SPEAKER_01Five milliliters of pure aspartame and inject it every day for right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I kind of feel that way about the socialist policies.
SPEAKER_01It's true. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I agree that it could be bad. Capitalism unchecked, also bad. We're back to capitalism.
SPEAKER_01I do think the first one might have to be about capitalism.
SPEAKER_02Damn it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Well, we'll we'll get on that if you all say you're interested. What?
SPEAKER_01I just ended up recording a parallel podcast.
SPEAKER_02That's just like you ranting about capitalism. Sure.
SPEAKER_01Just capitalism? I don't know if I have enough to say about capitalism. I don't think I have an education deep enough in capital.
SPEAKER_02You would get one.
SPEAKER_01That's true. Via research. An honorary degree.
SPEAKER_02I've got to open my drink because I saved it. You gave this to me like an hour ago. And I've been carrying it around with me. So it's I carried it around to get rid of the rug in the guest room. I carried it around.
SPEAKER_01Got the rug out of the guest room.
SPEAKER_02I got the rug out of the guest room. Are you mad?
SPEAKER_01No, I'm not mad.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01What's it look like underneath there?
SPEAKER_02Uh wood.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Uh Red Bull sugar-free.
SPEAKER_01Samsies.
SPEAKER_02I it looks like wood. It looks okay. Uh there was an okay shape. Yeah.
The Dog Rug Problem And Old Memories
SPEAKER_02Yeah. We have a guest room. We have one singular. It's our only guest room. I'm making it sound like we have one of one of our guest rooms.
SPEAKER_01On our estate?
SPEAKER_02Uh no. Our guest bedroom has this rug that we have had. We had it in our primary bedroom originally in our old house, and it was great. And when we moved, I put it in the guest room. And for some reason, our dog like attached on it and keeps marking this rug.
SPEAKER_01It's basically a pea pad for him if we don't shut that door.
SPEAKER_02And and our dog doesn't go in the house. That's the thing about it. No, he's pretty good. He is potty trained. He's six years old. Non-issue. And then after Bogie passed away, I feel like it has just been this ongoing issue.
SPEAKER_01I've tried my best. I do really like that rug still. It's also been vacuumed a bunch. We've not really taken like ideal care of that rug for what it is. And it's getting Which we got it secondhand and it already home with dogs. It's getting axed.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's it's done. And that uh floor is getting mopped thoroughly, and the room is gonna finally be clean again. It's gonna get bleached and mopped, and it's gonna get just the whole shebang because I can't. Yeah. I cannot. That's fair. It has truly stressed me out so much. I had a friend growing up that my parents let me go over to her house to play when I was in elementary school because she was our neighbor, like loved her, but they had and they had uh all kinds of pets that had a run of the house, like they had birds and cats and dogs, and nobody was taking care of anyone, and there was like feces and urine and you know, like just everywhere throughout the house, and it marked me. Like I have never This is actually explaining a lot.
SPEAKER_01I don't know that I've heard this.
SPEAKER_02Really?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I think about it.
SPEAKER_01You act like that's what our home is like.
SPEAKER_02That's how I feel.
SPEAKER_01It's not even close to accurate.
SPEAKER_02That is exactly how I feel about it. Interesting.
SPEAKER_01Like I said, it explains a lot. Not that I feel like that we will never own birds, just to be clear.
SPEAKER_02I don't feel like that that is what our home is like. But anytime a dog has an accident, or like when we've had puppies and stuff, it just takes me back to seeing that. And I that's fair. I felt for her. I still feel for her.
SPEAKER_01That's yeah, it's not a good place to be. What were we talking about?
SPEAKER_02Piss.
SPEAKER_01Piss.
Ranking Swear Words And What Counts
SPEAKER_01Yeah, our house is full of piss.
SPEAKER_02I think of that as a bad word.
SPEAKER_01Piss? Yeah. I mean, I don't think it's it's I think maybe the baddest way you can refer to urine.
SPEAKER_02It it makes me uncomfortable.
SPEAKER_01I feel like it's on the parallel or maybe slightly below data.
SPEAKER_02Just speaking of my childhood as a whole.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02When I was a kid, uh, when I was in high school, I dated this kid whose dad was from Sweden, and that's what he always said when he was pissed off at his kid. He'd be like, You did a piss poor job. And that really stuck with me.
SPEAKER_01Piss to me is right on the verge of where things become like a swear word. Okay. Like it's a little below damn. Like damn is definitely a swear word, but pretty light.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01You know?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like there's an actual meaning to damn.
SPEAKER_02So it's like piss damn shit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think there's things between damn and shit, but uh there are. I I don't know. Maybe not in the common usage. Okay. Piss damn shit. Fuck. Um.
SPEAKER_02And then it starts to get pretty colorful.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it gets colorful unless you're not from the United States. The C word falls way below, you know. Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_02But well, I also think generationally they've they've rebranded.
SPEAKER_01There is that too, but still, I think even generationally.
SPEAKER_02What about bloody? Oh, hell.
SPEAKER_01Hell?
SPEAKER_02Okay, wait, piss. Ooh. Piss.
SPEAKER_01Ooh, good question. Or hell. I think hell worse than piss.
SPEAKER_02I think it's better.
SPEAKER_01You think it's better?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well, again, it's describing again, hell and damn are both like.
SPEAKER_02What about bloody?
SPEAKER_01Bloody's not a swear word.
SPEAKER_02Like they use that a lot to emphasize things.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's just emphasis, though.
SPEAKER_02I don't think it's a like freaking, which I feel like is people just wanting to say.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's dodging an actual swear word. I don't think that's a good thing.
SPEAKER_02That's what I think of as when I hear okay.
SPEAKER_01I think it's just like extra.
SPEAKER_02Well, what's our extra then?
SPEAKER_01Super. I don't know. I'm trying to think of what it would be.
SPEAKER_02Right?
SPEAKER_01The parallel.
SPEAKER_02I know when you start thinking about it.
SPEAKER_01Mega. No.
SPEAKER_02Okay, wait. So hell piss.
SPEAKER_01Hell piss, damn.
SPEAKER_02Damn shit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I feel like this is gonna get flagged on.
SPEAKER_02We're gonna mark this episode as explicit for sure.
SPEAKER_01I think it's gonna get marked as explicit.
SPEAKER_02Well, we have to mark it explicit on our end, so make sure you do that. Ooh, you guys will be so excited to listen, and then you'll be so disappointed to find out that this is what it is.
SPEAKER_01Swear words out of context, ranking them.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we were just ranking the swear words.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Bastard. Where does bastard fall for you?
SPEAKER_02Bastard.
SPEAKER_01Again, a word that has an actual meaning.
SPEAKER_02Nowhere.
SPEAKER_01No, you bastard? That's definitely swearing.
SPEAKER_02Really?
SPEAKER_01What?
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Bitch.
SPEAKER_02Bitch for sure. Bastard?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, bastard. I'd say worse than damn.
SPEAKER_02No. Yeah. No way.
SPEAKER_01Used at someone? Definitely worse. Definitely worse.
SPEAKER_02I think of that as something that really?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You bastard?
SPEAKER_02Okay, but what context I'm thinking of it in is if we're in like a room of people and somebody overhears you say bastard versus That'll be a swear.
SPEAKER_01What? Undop. Yeah. You're out of your mind if you think you can just be throwing bastard around and go to the kid's preschool and be like, man, he was such a bastard. That's crazy. Are you saying bastard a lot? I don't think you are. I'm not. I feel like I've never heard you say it.
SPEAKER_02I'm not, but I had no idea. It was, I feel like I'm learning that bitch is a swear word all over again.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_01Have you told that story?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. When I was in like second grade, there was a book in our reading corner that had it was all about animals, and it had the scientific names for animals and whatever. And in the book, it was like a children's book, but it said female dog, bitch. And I was like, I said to my friend Cassie, I was like, Did you know that a female dog's a bitch? And she's like, She's like, You can't say that. And I was like, Oh my gosh, what?
SPEAKER_01You're going to kid jail.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Bastard. Bastard, yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's definitely idea.
SPEAKER_01Your parents like didn't swear around you.
SPEAKER_02At all. Bonehead.
SPEAKER_01Bonehead. They did the classic. I feel like is that that's our parents' generation thing of like getting really creative swearing.
SPEAKER_02Bonehead was really the only one that I feel like I heard regul regularly. Yeah. My dad, somebody would cut him off and be like, what a bonehead.
SPEAKER_01That's what he used at people.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That was his swearing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Man, I'm trying to think of all the good ones that my my dad would use.
SPEAKER_02My dad really like my parents really didn't know.
SPEAKER_01Cotton picking. That guy used a lot.
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That seems down. Now that I've said it out loud, it feels no, but it was oh.
SPEAKER_01It was just kind of like bloody.
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It does seem racist now that I've said it out loud.
SPEAKER_02Very.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But is it?
SPEAKER_01No, it wasn't meant. Like it was like.
SPEAKER_02Well, no, I don't.
SPEAKER_01Again, that wasn't used like at people. That was like used at like a frustrating.
SPEAKER_02What did they use at people?
unknownOh man.
SPEAKER_01That's a great question. Man.
SPEAKER_02Someone cuts him off in traffic. What does he do?
SPEAKER_01Mark was a mark was a pretty like chill guy.
SPEAKER_02That's what I do.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I go, oh.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I just swear openly.
SPEAKER_02I don't believe in getting mad at people in traffic.
SPEAKER_01Oh. That's not in my car. Yeah. I I am.
SPEAKER_02It doesn't do anything. It just makes the people in your car uncomfortable, which I think's a waste of time.
SPEAKER_01That's probably true. That's probably true.
Driving Rules And Road Rage Risk
SPEAKER_01I try not to go like too crazy with my own vehicle, but I'm keeping score.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I have a very defined sense of justice in the car.
SPEAKER_02I feel like you could easily fall into road rage territory.
SPEAKER_01I am uh, I would believe uh a high risk person for road rage. Yeah. I don't participate, and you have taught me a lot in terms of not exercising my anger in the car with the car.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01Because it's it is not productive.
SPEAKER_02Unsafe.
SPEAKER_01It's not safe. It's not productive. It is bad. But in always. I could be the person easily that has road rage. But I'm I'm more of a road rage in terms of like we need to all be following the rules. What do you what is that face about?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and whose rules?
SPEAKER_01The rules of the state and the government.
SPEAKER_02And how you translate everything.
SPEAKER_01By the book.
SPEAKER_02Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. Yeah. What what you're looking at me like I'm breaking a lot of things.
SPEAKER_02I'm looking at the girl that's never been pulled over.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Speeding is one thing, but that's like the only traffic rule I break.
SPEAKER_02Oh, so it's okay for you to break a traffic rule? And why that one? Why is that one less important than the others?
SPEAKER_01Speeding is an individual. I'm talking about using our turn signals, when we should pass, where we shouldn't pass. The courtesy of using the lines, driving outside the lines to disagree with you that people should follow the rules. I feel strongly about the rules when I drive.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01It's just one of my things. Because we live in a society and we have to follow the rules. And once people are above the rules, everything goes to shit. That's how I feel about it. That's how strongly I feel about it while I drive too.
SPEAKER_02Only when you drive. I'm thinking about every other rule. Everything else is a guideline to you. Have you ever seen you work with fire?
SPEAKER_01That's not the law.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02And how much do you trust the government?
SPEAKER_01Trust them with what?
SPEAKER_02The law.
SPEAKER_01See, it's not about the government. I don't uh it's not about the government.
SPEAKER_02See how you're switching things up every single time. You're like, the law's okay, the rules are not. Guidelines don't count, speeding, not real.
SPEAKER_01They follow tons of guidelines as well.
SPEAKER_02Oh, right. I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_01When it comes to driving, we all are participating. It's about a social contract.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01I believe strongly in a social contract.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01And I think the only way to have an agreed upon social contract when driving is following the rules.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. People passing in places they can't pass, stuff like that. Drives me crazy.
SPEAKER_02You could do an episode on this.
SPEAKER_01I I probably could. I haven't really done any research and it's just like what grinds my gears. And so, yeah. You're looking at me like I've lost my mind.
SPEAKER_02You're just very spirited.
SPEAKER_01I this causes me to get spirited. People passing on the right hate that. I don't like that either. Yeah. Well, again, lots of things that people don't like, but when people do it, I don't like any of it.
SPEAKER_02I don't have an issue. Like I feel like right now that you're saying that because I don't get elevated that I approve.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you just I have no way to judge how disapproving you are.
SPEAKER_02Whereas with me You well, it's not my job to judge or be disapproving to those people.
SPEAKER_01And execution, not execution.
SPEAKER_02And they're they can't see or hear me again. So I just feel like it's misplaced.
SPEAKER_01You have taught me some in that in terms of like they aren't gonna get it.
SPEAKER_02So maybe stop letting it making my day miserable because somebody else.
SPEAKER_01Now I try to more silently judge.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It's not perfect, it's not a perfect system.
SPEAKER_02No, it's not.
SPEAKER_01As a past, hey, I am not, I would say I'm not an unsafe driver.
SPEAKER_02No, you're a great driver.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02I'm not making any like I have not said.
SPEAKER_01You're talking about me like I'm road raging around and cutting people off and trying to enforce the law out there like I'm an amateur cop.
SPEAKER_02Can somebody check in and tell me if that's what I sounded like? Because I'm so confused.
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_02I don't even know how we got here.
SPEAKER_01How do we ever get anywhere on this podcast? It's just right. We go where the wind blows.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Or where it doesn't blow, in the case of this studio. What have
AC Condensate Leak And Battery Anxiety
SPEAKER_01we been doing this week?
SPEAKER_02How we uh water came through the ceiling in the garage.
SPEAKER_01That's true. Yeah, that happened. Found out. So when you have an air conditioner, uh it creates condensate. That condensate goes through a pipe and down out through the wall or somewhere wherever your condensate drain runs. You should probably know that if you have an air conditioner. Um if that condensate drain line gets plugged, it's supposed to like drip into a tray underneath your air conditioning unit, and then it fills up, and you should have a switch in there that is like, hey, you got water in the tray. I turned off your air conditioner, so it stops making water, which ours does have that. It just turns out it was sloped the wrong direction. So before it ever tripped the switch, it poured water out of the tray. So we have a small water feature. I got a visual indicator rather than the air conditioning turning off.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01So we had a little drip in the garage. Thankfully, it was in the garage because I feel better about patching a drywall ceiling in the garage than I would if it was like the pantry.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That would have been annoying. The garage, I feel like I can take a swing at and maybe not do a perfect job. Maybe I'll just hang a panel light there.
SPEAKER_02All options.
SPEAKER_01Sure, yeah, all good stuff. I just was waiting for your reaction to be like, hell no.
SPEAKER_02I don't care what you do in the garage.
SPEAKER_01Got it. See, that's why it's good it's in the garage. She's like, whatever makes the drip.
SPEAKER_02As long as you don't put a battery station in there, I'm good.
SPEAKER_01I'm never gonna put the battery station in the garage, dude. Yeah, it's never gonna happen.
SPEAKER_02I know. I was just clarifying that I didn't think it was fair for me to say that I didn't care about anything. Totally. Because I have put up a big stink about it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you're basically like you can't even put nine volts out there. You can't even think about batteries in the garage.
SPEAKER_02Ideally, yes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Just they're bad vibes.
SPEAKER_02Batteries scare me.
SPEAKER_01Batteries are mysterious.
SPEAKER_02That scares me more.
SPEAKER_01Well, no, I mean they're not actually mysterious. There's like a very basic chemistry to them, but they're like complicated. I I remember learning about batteries in material science, and I was like, man, I I understand this is how it works. I just am not totally getting it. I've learned a lot of stuff. Electricity is funny, it's crazy. And then you're doing electricity with chemicals, like what?
SPEAKER_02You could do a whole episode on that.
SPEAKER_01I know, but I'd have to learn about it first. Otherwise, it's just me talking about how mysterious batteries are. And I can only do that for so long.
SPEAKER_02That's true.
SPEAKER_01Five to ten minutes tops. You've been sneaky sick. You had like a cold thing going on. Do you want the family?
SPEAKER_02I didn't sleep enough for too many days and it hit me. And yes, I have a cold.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, a June cold.
SPEAKER_02And I feel really bad. And it's a weird time to feel really bad. Why is that? Just being sick in June is strange.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But like it's not a common you know, the summer cold.
SPEAKER_01No, it's not even shoulder season, like shoulder? Shoulder season. Uh your falls, your springs. Like on the shoulders of the Maybe that's not why it's called that, but your shoulder seasons are on the edge of Your oh like summer, winter I've never heard of shoulder seasons.
SPEAKER_02Okay, yeah, like it's a diamond.
SPEAKER_01I guess so. I haven't thought about a shape.
SPEAKER_02Which one's the top and which one's the bottom?
SPEAKER_01Summer's the top has to be Warmer rises. Everybody knows that.
SPEAKER_02Okay, that makes sense. I like that. What?
SPEAKER_01I just made that. I mean, Warmer doesn't.
SPEAKER_02When you said shoulders, I was imagining shoulders. And then I'm imagining, you know.
SPEAKER_01Like an Orion's belt situation.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Your mom got me that book on constellations. And I only read like 10 pages of it, but I have Orion like locked in. Orion's sword, how to get there. Probably not. I'll just know Orion really well.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01Always spot in it.
SPEAKER_02I think you should keep reading it.
SPEAKER_01Probably should, but then I feel like I might learn too much about constellations and then you could do an hour episode on constellations. That could be really annoying at night.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I I don't think you're annoying. I find it very interesting to hear you talk about stuff.
SPEAKER_01I feel like sometimes you get really annoyed though. Maybe it's just when we're doing the podcast and you're like, you can't do 15 minutes.
SPEAKER_02I was about to say, where in our real life do I ever get annoyed when you go on teaching me about something?
SPEAKER_01Well, it's probably more the timing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_01We're going somewhere and I'm doing a small dissertation.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's fair. There's a time and a place for everything.
SPEAKER_02For sure.
SPEAKER_01And I don't do good.
SPEAKER_02I don't dislike listening to you at all. I love listening to you. Oh, thank you. I think you're very interesting.
SPEAKER_01Thanks. That's very sweet of you.
SPEAKER_02I don't have a chronically online this week. What? Am I fired?
SPEAKER_01Uh I mean, you're not fired. You're on probation.
SPEAKER_02I have barely been on the interwebs.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SpaceX IPO And Wealth Inequality
SPEAKER_01SpaceX IPO is today.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. Tell me more.
SPEAKER_01They're they're gonna IPO SpaceX. It's they wanna tell us what IPO is. An initial public offering. They're listing it on the stock exchanges. I believe it's actually already like the Nasdaq lists early or something weird, but it's gonna go on the SP. They are gonna they're valuing it at like $2 trillion or $1.8 trillion.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Which is like a hundred times earnings, which is Bananas Town. Like nobody is valued at that, but it's Elon Musk, so his stuff isn't worth Tesla's valued on a gajillion times earnings, and that's just how he rolls.
SPEAKER_02How do they do that? Does he just get to tell people it's worth this much?
SPEAKER_01And then people believe in him or it's tricky because SpaceX has Starlink, which is a really it's like the best satellite internet product out there. And because they can launch their own rockets, they have basically a monopoly on launching rockets, they can do it cheaper and I wouldn't say better necessarily, but cheaper is a really big deal when it comes to launching rockets.
SPEAKER_02So they have all kinds of satellites and do you ever wonder why our focus is on launching rockets when like kids can't eat? Or am I weird for that?
SPEAKER_01Oh no, no, you're not weird for that, but that's just how especially the United States operates right now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm like no paid leave, but we're shooting rockets into the air for what?
SPEAKER_01Well, to be fair, SpaceX is a well, it was a private company, but can be publicly traded. It's a company rather than but that's the it kind of makes sense that like space launching stuff is a privately owned business or like a publicly owned business, but it's a business because you should be trying to do it cheaper. Whereas like NASA, when they launch a rocket, it can never fail because we have to be like super extra safe. Whereas with a company, you can take more risks and it's the risk is on the company rather than the public.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_01Helps if they're not manned. You don't really want to burn up a whole bunch of people.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_01We've done that before. That was not good. But you can flirt closer to the line of best value than if you were NASA, where they're like, yeah, we shouldn't cut corners for cost reasons because safety, and also if we blow up a rocket, then everybody's like, you wasted all this taxpayer money.
SPEAKER_02Of course.
SPEAKER_01Wasting business money is how business works.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01You gotta waste money to make money.
SPEAKER_02That's right.
SPEAKER_01Everybody knows that.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So you have a word of the week.
SPEAKER_01Word of the week, you're like, get out of this. You're chronically online sucks.
SPEAKER_02You digress.
SPEAKER_01Well played, well played. Do you know pernicious?
SPEAKER_02I don't know pernicious.
SPEAKER_01That's a good one.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Pernicious. P-E-R-N-I-C. I o U S.
SPEAKER_01Crushed it. Really?
SPEAKER_02I would have been really good at this felling V. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01If they gave you pernicious.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Having a harmful effect, especially in a gradual or subtle way. Like subtly harmful.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Trying to think of a good example. I'm trying to think of what's pernicious.
SPEAKER_01Pernicious, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Batteries.
SPEAKER_01Batteries? No.
SPEAKER_02They're really all at once. Like it's a utility. If they're bad, they're bad all at once. I don't think that's very pernicious.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think it's more like if somebody's being helpful, but like to undermine you kind of deal. Now things can be pernicious in terms of like stuff, but there's a little bit of like an intent.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01I feel like when it's used.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Hmm.
SPEAKER_01It's more of a side effect. Like if it something that has a bad side effect, but maybe that they overlooked. Like a pernicious effect of opioids was how addictive they were.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01You know?
SPEAKER_02Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Or that maybe the people that were selling them were acting perniciously.
SPEAKER_02Pernicious.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm okay with that.
SPEAKER_01Sure.
SPEAKER_02I like it.
unknownGood.
SPEAKER_02What was last week's?
SPEAKER_01Man, I never remember. I gotta start writing them down.
SPEAKER_02It was uh I know Kismet was two weeks ago.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It's we couldn't say it well, and then we made up a word with it.
SPEAKER_02Oh no. Okay, never mind.
SPEAKER_01Here, I'll look. Maybe I have it one of my thousands of tabs. You're not a tabs girl. Sententious, right?
SPEAKER_02Sententious. That is what it was. I liked that a lot. Haven't been using it. I should. No.
SPEAKER_01Sententious. It's okay. It's okay. But what was this week's? Pernicious.
SPEAKER_02Pernicious.
SPEAKER_01Pernicious.
SPEAKER_02Sententious. Why do they're too similar?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's fair. It's fair. I'll work outside of the.
SPEAKER_02See how I remembered Kismet?
SPEAKER_01You did remember Kismet. You're welcome. Pernicious, I feel like you'll do one in books.
SPEAKER_02Pernicious. Yeah, probably.
SPEAKER_01Like a villain will be pernicious.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that makes sense.
SPEAKER_01Maybe before you know they're yeah. Before they're like openly the villain. Yeah, I like that. Yeah. They'll be acting perniciously.
SPEAKER_02Mom, uh, what am I? Mean mom? Bad dad?
SPEAKER_01Uh uh, whatever you want to do.
SPEAKER_02Bad mom, mean dad. I don't know what's happening. All right, bad dad, mean mom. I actually feel like this was maybe mean wife.
SPEAKER_01Mean wife, interesting. Uh we're gonna broaden our scope into like how we No, this is like kid related.
SPEAKER_02Okay, and I feel like it was mean mom, but I feel like mean mom, the the mean really was to you more than to the kids.
SPEAKER_03Got it.
SPEAKER_02And that is I let the kids draw with sidewalk chalk uh all over their bike.
SPEAKER_01It's fine, it's not as bad as when they use sidewalk chalk to draw all over the house.
SPEAKER_02I they asked me to, and I was like, you know what? Heck yeah, they wanted that. They wanted to decorate their bike, and I when they did try to decorate the seat, and I said, uh-uh.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02No seat because that's wheels and body only. Yeah, because we don't need just a booty of chalk.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, chalk people act like chalk is so much more cleanable than it is out of clothes. It sucks. I hate chalk.
SPEAKER_02That was me, mom. That's what I immediately thought of this week.
SPEAKER_01Got it.
SPEAKER_02But we were out, we were having a good time. Yeah, they were decorating the driveway.
SPEAKER_01They love chalk so much. They love chalk.
SPEAKER_02Like we were having a great time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And they brought their bikes out and they're like, Mom, can we please decorate our bike?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I want them to be wearing like Tyvek suits when they use chalk.
SPEAKER_02Can you imagine how sweaty that would feel?
SPEAKER_01No, I can't imagine how I like Tyvek suits are miserable when it's they probably just need chalk play clothes. Yeah. They're chalk fits.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, these are chalk fits.
SPEAKER_01Got it.
SPEAKER_02We can put them in their lockers.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was gonna say they probably should live like outside.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Or we just strip them down when they play with chalk.
SPEAKER_02Uh that feels sketchy.
SPEAKER_01Because it's hard, like abrasive.
SPEAKER_02Well, and sunscreen, they're out in the sun, and I just I don't think that's very safe.
SPEAKER_01Uh, you know, chalk has minerals, it probably deflects the sun.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01We chalk them on purpose.
SPEAKER_02He he uh follows the rules, guys.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_02There's rules of society, and he thinks you need to follow them start to finish.
SPEAKER_01Is there a social contract about sunscreen? Who you hurting? Individual.
SPEAKER_02Your children. Matt doesn't believe in family social contracts only when it's with society.
SPEAKER_01It's fine.
SPEAKER_02Bad dad. That's a bad dad take, I guess. Bad dad.
SPEAKER_01My kids, my yeah, tell they're 18, they can't protect their skin. Not without my say-so. No, um I'm not saying we shouldn't. I'm not saying we shouldn't use it. People not using it doesn't make me mad in the same way that people abusing their vehicle on the road does, you know?
SPEAKER_02Do we have voicemails?
SPEAKER_01Emails.
SPEAKER_02Text messages.
SPEAKER_01We might have something. I'll I'll find a way to pivot out of the chalk talk.
SPEAKER_02Chalk talk? Chalk talk?
SPEAKER_01We could have talked about the NBA finals for online.
SPEAKER_02Should we?
SPEAKER_01Do we know any do you know anything about it? I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I know that Nix and four didn't happen.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's true, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And now they're saying Nixon five.
SPEAKER_01Nixon five is still in play.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Feels like it's really captured the the media.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah. Which is people are spending outrageous amounts of money to go. Also that. Like it's crazy.
SPEAKER_01That's true.
SPEAKER_02Again, I go back to sending rockets into space and spending $80,000 on a seat to go see a game.
SPEAKER_01Sure.
SPEAKER_02Have we lost the plot?
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, definitely. Yeah. Yeah, it's a real haves and haves, not and I don't want to tell people they shouldn't go.
SPEAKER_02It like it looks like a a blast.
SPEAKER_01Totally.
SPEAKER_02But I'm like, what are we doing?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I don't understand.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, when you can buy a car for what it would take to go to one next game.
SPEAKER_02Like a two-hour game.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. What are we doing? Seems steep. Sports in general, expensive.
SPEAKER_02But they're they're meant to be, I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I just they're meant to be for the people. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm feeling really sad about all those kinds of things.
SPEAKER_01It's not great.
SPEAKER_02Because it doesn't really feel like I don't know, it doesn't feel like we're on a good trajectory.
SPEAKER_01We're not. There's a there's actually recovery. There's something called the genie coefficient, and it's super high right now.
SPEAKER_02What does that mean? Tell me more.
SPEAKER_01It's basically the distribution of where like wealth is. And when it gets too high, that's when back in the day you'd have like revolution where the people at the bottom have nothing and the people at the top have nothing.
SPEAKER_02I don't know if we're capable of revolution. You'd think we're more connected than ever. But I think that the connection has made us able to be pushed down more and like argue with one another. Like it gives us more ability to you know.
SPEAKER_01We've got a genie coefficient right about where the French Revolution was.
SPEAKER_02Cool, cool, cool, cool. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So there are ways to manage it, like you know, a more progressive tax structure or a distribution uh to revitalize the middle class and whatnot, but we don't have to go full-blown revolution. But I mean you're open to it. Freedom Fighter, you've got the bandana on, you're ready to rock.
SPEAKER_02I yeah, oh, does it look silly? No, I was trying to do something different and now I'm now I'm nervous.
SPEAKER_01It's fun, just in this context, I felt like I could make a play on it. But now I feel really bad because it seems like it has shot right to your core.
SPEAKER_02Well, I was trying to be accessory girl. Yeah.
Piercings Style And Self Alignment
SPEAKER_02Because I got my seconds pierced or my doubles, as everybody says. Oh. I got my doubles pierced, and so I was trying to be cool accessory girl.
SPEAKER_01How many things are named on your ear for like the piercing of it? All of them. Okay. What are they?
SPEAKER_02What do you mean?
SPEAKER_01These are your firsts then or singles?
SPEAKER_02These are these are lobes, like just like a standard lobe piercing. Yeah. And then this is doubles, so there are two lobes.
SPEAKER_01Oh.
SPEAKER_02And then you can get triples. So it's just is that an actual location, or is it just kind of like it's like how many you have in your lobe, and there are different they do all kinds of different arrangements in your lobes. It depends on how much lobe space you have.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you have a real estate like consideration, I guess.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Some people like can't reasonably fit even doubles. Whereas some people have like five.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And then all of these have different names and stuff.
SPEAKER_01Got it.
SPEAKER_02I don't know them.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02But I was like, I wasn't sure how deep in the no, but I know they have names because yesterday, while we were there, they were naming all the different things. And like when you get things pierced in the ear and around and got it.
SPEAKER_01I would want like the dangliest earrings. I would really go big with it. I feel like feather? Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That jucks.
SPEAKER_01Can you see it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I can see it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Sometimes I wish that you would lean in and just style yourself how you want to style yourself rather than whatever you do. Because I feel like people don't really know you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I play it pretty safe.
SPEAKER_02I have felt that so strongly of I feel like I know you really well. And it gets really confusing when talking to other people about you because how you present and who you are are.
SPEAKER_01I play it right down the middle. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Right. But I don't feel like does that make you feel out of alignment?
SPEAKER_01Not too bad. Maybe I'm just too dissociated right now to really like have a grip on that. I try to play within like a confines of, you know, like I'm a father of three. Not that I try to make that my whole identity. It's just like I do have to go to like preschool and but what does that have to do with that? I don't want to like stand out and I don't want it to be like attention puller.
SPEAKER_02I'd rather work But if you're not doing it for attention, if it's just like what feels in alignment for you, why would that feel I feel like some of it is for attention like on its own?
SPEAKER_01Like to a degree how you dress is for observation. No, maybe not for I don't feel that way. Like it's an expression, but it's a visual expression, which means it's shared with everyone.
SPEAKER_02But that doesn't mean that it's for attention.
SPEAKER_01I'm not saying necessarily attention, but it is like observable. When you go somewhere in your clothes, you are making a statement of some kind, even if it's self-reflective. And so if you get if you have a loud statement to make that's gonna grab attention, you know?
SPEAKER_02I don't think about it like that at all. That's really interesting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And there's times. Well you're saying it's making sense. I'm not you don't have to. Sometimes in places where I like to grab more attention with it or like have a bigger statement, I think is probably the better way to put it. Because it's not about wanting it on me or not necessarily. Some of it is also how I feel in my body. So like I'm happier to make a statement that speaks loudly if I feel good about my body itself.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_01And if I don't, then I don't want to pull or speak loudly.
SPEAKER_02So whereas when I think about it, I want to feel really in unison with how I perceive myself. Like I want to how I perceive myself. And it doesn't have to do with anybody else.
SPEAKER_01Sure. I don't know that we're speaking completely differently.
SPEAKER_02Probably not.
SPEAKER_01Like maybe I I just don't have a good self-perception at this time. So I keep it basic.
SPEAKER_02That's interesting. Give us a voicemail.
A Listener Voicemail And Video Games
SPEAKER_01A voicemail. Voicemail, email, something.
SPEAKER_02We have one voicemail. We're gonna play it for you.
SPEAKER_01All right.
SPEAKER_02And for us. We always listen to the voicemails live while we're recording, and I feel like that is such a choice.
SPEAKER_01We can always cut it, you know. We have we have editing capabilities on this podcast.
SPEAKER_02That's true, but what if it's something mean that like really throws me out of my groove?
SPEAKER_01Then the podcast might just end really awkwardly.
SPEAKER_02Fair enough. Fair enough. Just crashes into the ground, and we're just like I shouldn't even say that out loud because that's me putting that out into the world.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02No, it's gonna be so positive and wonderful because I mean it probably will be love us. We love us. We love people.
SPEAKER_01We love us. That's probably what I think.
SPEAKER_02It's all love here.
SPEAKER_01Probably need to be telling myself that we love us. All right.
SPEAKER_00Hey Joe and Matt. My name is Jared. I wanted to call into the show to say that my wife, Katie, and I are big fans of the show. We listen every week. And the discussions that you guys have about parenting and relationships and neurodivergence. Oh, we make it a point to get together after listening to the pod separately to talk about those things ourselves. Um, so we really appreciate the things that you bring to the table and the topics that it allows us to you know have deep conversations about and checking in on a weekly basis about these kinds of things. It really means a lot to us, and we really appreciate what you're putting out there. So thank you for making the show. Uh and also, Matt, you're playing video games? Sounds like you said something about video games. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's so nice. Thank you for two listeners.
SPEAKER_02I uh I don't think about men listening to the podcast. No, that's really cool that we got a voicemail from I I think that you have phenomenal perspective, and I really value and appreciate what you have to say. And I think that you being a voice is really cool, and I would love to have more men listening, but it does not even cross my mind because so little of my audience sure.
SPEAKER_01My audience is mostly like when I do post online. Yeah, but thank you. That was yeah, that's really nice abundantly kind.
SPEAKER_02I love that you all make time to come together and discuss and have something that you're listening to to bring up new topics that you may otherwise not be reaching for. I think that that's a really healthy and cool thing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you guys sound um functional, super functional.
SPEAKER_02But video games, tell them what you're playing, I guess.
SPEAKER_01Oh man, I'm I'm playing mostly games on my phone. I uh didn't play FIFA this year, which is probably good for everybody involved. It's it's a game that has really perfected a way to sink tons of your time into it. Uh I play them so much more, especially now, like socially. Like it was it's was an opportunity to just catch up with like a couple of my friends that played video games. And so we kind of have to have a good game that we play together.
SPEAKER_02All of your friends that you did that with had kids in the last couple years, so everybody's kind of taken.
SPEAKER_01Like have fresh kids. Yeah. So it's um everybody's kind of on hiatus right now. And I don't get as much joy, especially playing like a lot of console games, just solo. There would have been a time where I had more capacity for that, but it feels too self-indulgent at this time. And I don't think I'm getting enough out of it to be like, yes, that's where I where I felt good spending my time. Totally. Even if it was fun in the moment, I'm like, yeah, there were better things I could have done with two hours of my day.
SPEAKER_02Totally.
SPEAKER_01FIFA's fun in terms of like it's competitive and they are very good at making it addicting.
SPEAKER_02But do we have any text messages?
SPEAKER_01Text messages, emails, uh, yeah, we probably have a couple. We have we have openings. We're we're very available for texts and emails and voicemails or whatever you want to send us. So if you're uh looking for our thoughts on things, fire it out there. We can get to you quickly right now. Act while the act while the act now this won't last forever.
SPEAKER_02Sunday, Sunday, Sunday.
SPEAKER_01I feel like I'm pitching things.
SPEAKER_02A monster truck rally is coming to Springfield.
SPEAKER_01Insufferable, the two of us.
SPEAKER_02We'll sell you the whole seat, but you'll only need the edge.
SPEAKER_01Ridiculous. Oh, I was looking through and we missed a voicemail. Ooh, okay. I should probably comb through all of them and make sure I've gotten people. If you haven't had yours uh listened to, uh let me know. Or I'll try and find it. Or it shouldn't really be on you, I guess, but here's where we are. All right, another voicemail.
Sewing Plans And Australia Travel Dreams
SPEAKER_04It's your old friend Sarah. Um just wanted to say fully support Matt's new hobby of sewing. I think there must be like a stem to sewing pipeline. Um I've also recently gotten back into sewing. I'm currently working on a um I cut up my wedding dress um because my son is getting baptized on the weekend. And like I'm leaving it's a last minute, so anyway, we'll see how it goes. But yeah, if you missed it, I'm turning my wedding dress into a baptism outfit, which will be fun. Um, I just wanted to say hi from Oz. Um And when are you guys gonna come on a trip here? Really need to do an Australian. It's not a Euro summer. I think you should do an Australian. Don't do summer. Do like a spring or a autumn because summer can be quite traumatizing if you're used to the humidity and heat. Anyway, we're gonna go. Um but fully support the sewing journey and would love to see more posts about it.
SPEAKER_02Well Missy Sarah, come back and visit. We should go visit her.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I do uh the journey that was that was a little while ago that we got that voicemail. I missed it, but uh it hasn't quite started. Any day now. Any day now, the any day Matt's gonna start sewing. Yes.
SPEAKER_02You heard it here first. You had the sewing machine out.
SPEAKER_01It's like yeah, no, it's like out.
SPEAKER_02It moved yesterday.
SPEAKER_01I have to get it right. Well, it moved because it was too close to the drip in the garage. Oh. Uh it might have gotten a little splashed, so I'm gonna make sure it's dried out on the floor. Yeah, that's smart. That's right. Which I have to clean it out anyway because it has sat for many years. But um love it. Yeah. Maybe today I'll inventory it and make sure I have everything I need to start my journey.
SPEAKER_02That would be good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Do we have thread? Yes. We have thread somewhere, right?
SPEAKER_02Yes. I have an entire sewing kit somewhere, like a box of like in a box.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Nice. Nice. We might be ready to rock.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Good.
SPEAKER_02If you can find it.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's the you know, life's about the journey, and we have a lot of journeys.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we do have a lot of journeys.
SPEAKER_01So we're mostly journey. I guess that's appropriate though.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Life should mostly be journey. Yeah, let's go. Australian? I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I'd like to go.
SPEAKER_01It'd be great to go. On the plus side, we're used to humidity.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And heat.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It might be a little different.
SPEAKER_02I'd like to go when it's nice, though.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Especially if we're going to take all our kids.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's true.
Wrap Up And How To Reach Us
SPEAKER_02So. But on that note, leave us some voicemails. Text us some things.
SPEAKER_01What should I be sewing?
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_01What should I be sewing? I'm going to do those pants.
SPEAKER_02Our kids close.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02Me clothes.
SPEAKER_01You close?
SPEAKER_02You said for Mother's Day that you were going to, and that was now a full month ago.
SPEAKER_01That didn't happen. That didn't happen.
SPEAKER_02And then you said you were going to sew your Ren Fairfit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that that's probably for the best.
SPEAKER_02And even when you said that, I wasn't like, yeah, commit. I was like, I think that that might be pushing it.
SPEAKER_01I think the Ren Fair Fit was just kind of an idea I had. Yeah. It was a thought, a concept of a plan.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That never You should do the pants though. Yeah, the pants need to happen. Like those will be cool.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I agree.
SPEAKER_01And she's only getting bigger. So it's nice to be able to have the ability to make them to size.
SPEAKER_02Yes. You digress.
SPEAKER_01I did. We digress. Yes. Oh yeah.
unknownSorry.
SPEAKER_01We're really bad about talking over each other on the podcast. We do our best, but it's part of our charm.
SPEAKER_02I really try not to.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It's just how we talk. We always, we just we blend.
SPEAKER_02We blend.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Well, on that note.
SPEAKER_01On that note.
SPEAKER_02Love you guys. Leave us a voicemail, text message, and talk soon.
SPEAKER_01Bye bye.
SPEAKER_02Bye.
